Lyon County Area Transportation — also known as LCAT — is seeing increased ridership this calendar year versus what the agency had during the height of the coronavirus pandemic.
Transportation Manager Janice Arb had details on KVOE’s Morning Show on Monday:
There is still “a way to go” before pre-pandemic ridership returns. Finance Officer Shane Brunner says LCAT is mandating mask use because of federal guidelines, and it’s continuing its constant cleaning of buses and availability of hand sanitizer.
LCAT continues its appointment-only procedures as well, so people need to call the office at 620-343-4207 if they need to schedule a pickup or drop-off. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are seeing more demand than other days.
