The Kansas City Royals played like they were ready to come home as they wrapped up a 3 city 10 game road trip losing to the Boston Red Sox 15-1 Thursday afternoon.
The Red Sox pounded out 4 home runs that accounted for 8 of the runs.
The Royals scored their lone run in the 9th.
Their losing skid is now at 9 games.
Royals manager Mike Matheny did not hold back after the loss.
They return to Kansas City to open a 3 game series with the Minnesota Twins tonight. Brady Singer will be the starting pitcher for the Royals. The first pitch is set for 7:10p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM beginning at 6:30 pm.
