A wreck involving a motorcycle and deer north of Emporia led to potentially serious injuries for the motorcycle rider Thursday night.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the wreck happened on Kansas Highway 99 six miles north of Emporia just after 8:30 pm. Troopers say 51-year-old Jacqueline Polston was southbound when her motorcycle hit a deer and stopped on the highway’s right shoulder.
Polston was wearing a helmet but was still taken to Newman Regional Health for treatment.
