A Kansas City man has been arrested in Osage County in relation to an ongoing investigation regarding the online solicitation of a child.
According to a news release from the Osage County Sheriff’s Office, 56-year-old Steven E. Spradley was arrested Thursday after making plans to meet with someone he believed to be a minor. Spradley was arrested by the county’s Criminal Investigation Unit on suspicion of aggravated human trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation of a child, and unlawful use of a communication facility.
Spradley was taken to the Osage County Jail facility where he remains at last word.
Formal charges are currently pending.
