The USD 253 Emporia Board of Education has announced a special meeting for next week.
Board members will meet at 6 pm Tuesday at Mary Herbert to discuss the turf field foundation at Emporia High School. Unspecified concerns have been discussed and will be addressed at the meeting.
The district approved a new turf during a meeting in May. ATG Sports won the contract with a $410,000 bid. The process could take a month to finish.
