Sentencing is coming Wednesday for one of three suspects in a shooting and robbery case from Emporia last fall.
Kenneth Hopkins, 21, pleaded no contest to conspiracy to commit robbery in late May. His sentencing is at 11:30 am.
Hopkins and 24-year-old Lance Sutton have both gone through the bulk of their respective court proceedings, with Sutton convicted on aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary charges June 16. He will be sentenced Aug. 27.
A third suspect, Marcos Diaz, remains at large.
All three are accused of involvement in a shooting incident at Linn and Whildin and a separate but connected home invasion robbery at 9 South Rural. Both incidents took place in October.
