A Topeka woman was arrested in Osage County following a vehicle fire call Thursday evening.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, deputies responded to a report of a vehicle fire at 181st Street and US Highway 75 just after 11:45 pm. The vehicle was unoccupied and the driver was later located hiding in a ditch near the scene.
The driver, 62-year-old Cheryl Albright, was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics and was taken into custody on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a prescription-only drug.
Formal charges are currently pending.
