The Inaugural Altrusa/Allstate Golf Tournament took place Saturday.
The 4-person, scramble-style tournament aimed to raise money for SOS and gave golfers the chance at winning a new car.
The 14-team tournament held a hole-in-one contest on two holes of the course, however, no one was able to claim a ride.
The event was held as a temporary replacement for Casino Night, the club’s longtime major fundraiser, with COVID-19 still in the local picture. Altrusa member and Allstate agent Jean Tidwell says the golf tournament may become the fundraiser of the future.
All proceeds from the tournament went to benefit SOS services in Lyon, Chase, Coffey, Greenwood, Morris, and Osage counties.
