The Emporia American Legion baseball teams wrapped up play in the Salina Grand Slam Tournament Saturday.
The Post 5 seniors closed out the tournament with a 10-2 win over Wamego. Cade Kohlmeier was 2 for 2 with 3 RBI and was the winning pitcher. He gave up 1 run on 1 hit with 6 strikeouts in 5 innings. Bobby Trujillo drove in 3 runs with a double, part of a 5 run 6th inning.
The Seniors will be hosting a zone tournament with Ottawa and Pittsburg next weekend.
The Junior Legion was shut out by Buhler 11-0. They finished the season with a 4-16 record.
