Heavy rainfall hit parts of the KVOE listening area at times Saturday.
The northern half of the area saw brief heavy rainfall before sunrise, with isolated heavy rain across parts of Greenwood, Osage and Wabaunsee counties during the afternoon and early evening hours. Rain totals so far:
*KVOE studios: 0.30 inches
*Emporia Municipal Airport: 0.07 inches
*10th and Weaver: 0.35 inches
*Allen: 1 inch
*Americus: 1.1 to 1.75 inches
*Harveyville: 2.5 inches
*Neosho Rapids: 0.45 inches
*Osage City: 4 inches
Concerns about severe weather, notably with wind and hail, turned out to be unfounded.
Showers and storms are possible but unlikely for Sunday afternoon.
