Two individuals were transported after a vehicle and motorcycle collided in south Emporia Sunday evening.
The accident occurred shortly after 8:20 pm in the 900 block of South Commercial in front of the David Traylor Zoo. According to Emporia Police on scene, a Toyota Camry was leaving the All Veteran’s Memorial parking lot and supposedly failed to yield the right of way.
At the same time a motorcyclist was traveling southbound and collided with the Camry. Both the motorcyclist and the driver of the Camry were taken to Newman Regional Health with unknown injuries.
Officers say both drivers were awake, alert and breathing when emergency crews arrived at the scene. Names are not being released.
Officers tell KVOE News citations may be issued, however, further details are not available.
