Emporia city commissioners have a lot of items to address in their study session Wednesday morning.
Commissioners will get a presentation on the 2020 annual audit and will review funds supported by tax levies in separate agenda items. Potential updates to the Clean Air Ordinance, including vaping restrictions for public indoor spaces, will be discussed. Also, commissioners will discuss an installation agreement with Evergy for an electric vehicle charging station in the 1000 block of Mechanic, the sale of vacant lots for home construction and the potential development of a “common consumption area” in the 600 and 700 blocks between Commercial and Merchant.
The meeting starts at 10 am at the Municipal Court Room. Following the study meeting at 11:30 am, city and county commissioners will have a quarterly joint meeting at the White Auditorium Little Theater. The agenda for that meeting has not yet been released.
