Coronavirus case metrics reversed course somewhat from Wednesday according to Lyon County Public Health’s latest report Friday.
10 new cases were reported raising the overall total to 4,351 cases since late last March. This followed 21 new cases announced Wednesday which saw the active case total increase from 34 to 52.
22 recoveries were reported Friday dropping the active total from 52 to 40. As of Wednesday, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment was reporting 22 variant cases in Lyon County with 18 of the alpha strain and four of the delta strain.
Deaths were unchanged at 86 with one case still pending final cause information from KDHE. Active hospitalizations remain at two.
