Another honor for Olpe Coach Chris Schmidt. He has been voted the Kansas High School Sports Awards Coach of the Year. The award is sponsored by USA Today and the Topeka Capital-Journal. It is voted on by readers.
Schmidt guided Olpe to the 1A football and boys basketball state titles in 2020-21.
He is now eligible for the National Honor.
