COVID-19 vaccines will be more readily available for local residents beginning next week.
Lyon County Public Health has announced that appointments for the Pfizer vaccine daily starting Monday at Flint Hills Community Health Center. The vaccine is available for all residents 12 and older.
This means both the Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson vaccines are now available through Public Health on a daily basis.
The daily appointments come as Lyon County Public Health continues its push for eligible school-aged children to get vaccinated before the start of the school year in a month.
In addition to the daily availability of the Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson vaccines, the Moderna vaccine will also be available every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Walk-ins are welcome, however, appointments are preferred. Residents can schedule an appointment for vaccinations by calling 620-342-4864.
