Lyon County deputies are investigating a potential arson incident that was recently discovered but could have happened years ago.
Undersheriff John Koelsch tells KVOE News deputies were called to 687 Road 170 on Wednesday after landowners discovered fire damage to the interior of a long-abandoned pickup truck. There is apparently no evidence of the fire extending to the truck’s exterior.
At this time, there are no suspects and there is no indication of when this may have happened. Koelsch says samples have been sent to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
