Nyk Robertson has been named as the Interim Senior Director of Diversity at Emporia State, effective August 8.
Robertson previously served as the associate director of TRIO Student Support Services at ESU since 2019.
An ESU alum, Robertson graduated back in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in English creative writing and then earned a master’s from Simmons College in Boston with a degree in gender cultural studies. Robertson is currently pursuing a PhD in Student Counseling and Student Development from K-State.
Since 2019 at Emporia State, Robertson has served on committees like the University Diversity and Inclusion Alliance and has been a presenter at various conferences, providing training on campus and around the country.
Said Robertson: “I am honored to return to campus as a professional and to be able to impact the policies, procedures and culture for our students, faculty and staff.”
