The Kansas City Chiefs held their 3rd and final day of the early training camp Monday that included Rookies, quarterbacks, and players returning from injury.
The remainder of the 90-man roster was slated to report Monday night.
The first full-squad practice is scheduled for Wednesday.
The Kansas City Chiefs made some changes to their roster Monday.
Through their official Twitter account, they announced that wide receiver Chris Finke was waived with an injury designation. The team also announced the signing of long-snapper Drew Scott out of Kansas State — and officially announced the re-signing of defensive end Alex Okafor, which had been reported last week.
The Chiefs also placed long-snapper James Winchester on the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list.
A Longtime Chiefs tradition, Warpaint will no longer run at Arrowhead Stadium.
Chiefs President Mark Donovan made the announcement Monday.
The move comes as the Chiefs continue to move away from popular traditions – like the Tomahawk Chop – some Native American groups consider offensive.
Warpaint was a longtime tradition with the Chiefs, and the mascot was brought back for the franchise’s 5oth anniversary in 2009.
