The Lyon County Motor Vehicle Office has its latest deadline for vehicle tag renewals this week.
Friday is the deadline for residents with last names beginning with the letters J, K or L to register without penalty.
Treasurer Sharon Gaede is encouraging residents to get in line virtually through the QLess process. Residents can text “Lyon County Motor Vehicle” to 620-254-9998. They can also download the QLess app or go to www.lyoncounty.org and click QLess in the quick links app. On top of that, residents can sign in by using the kiosk outside the Motor Vehicle Office.
Office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm weekdays. Residents need current proof of insurance and a valid Kansas ID to complete the process.
