The Lyon County Fair kicks off its first week with this year’s Friends of 4H Picnic.
The event marked its return after it was canceled last year due to COVID-19.
Lyon County Extension 4H Agent Corrine Patterson says she’s happy to get back to normal fair activities.
The Friends of 4H Picnic is the first of a week’s worth of 4-H activities. Events continue Friday with the dog, hand pet and cat shows starting at 5pm. Saturday’s schedule involves events inside the Anderson Building starting at 8 am. Sunday has the horse show beginning at 8 am.
The fair’s annual carnival and grandstand activities will return August 5-14.
