Area residents wanting to give their input on the state’s upcoming redistricting process will need to email or call the Kansas Legislative Research Department or travel.
Late last week, the state announced plans for House and Senate Redistricting Committee members to visit 14 cities in five days for 75-minute meetings on the topic. None of those public meetings will be close to Emporia. In fact, the closest meeting locations are Lawrence, Manhattan and Wichita.
