The fall schedule at the Granada Theatre will be bustling as the Emporia community gets ready for the extensive list of future events.
Granada Theater Director Rebeca Herrera says that she wanted to bring in the types of acts that folks most want. After releasing a survey, she found that people want live rock bands. Rock music is just what the people will get.
This Saturday at 7pm, the dazzling Cars & Bon Jovi Tribute will kick off the string of concerts and live performances at the Granada. Accompanying the tribute concert will be an 80s costume contest where folks can truly immerse themselves into the throwback theme.
Granada’s Got Talent Season II will make its anticipated return on Saturday, August 14. The initial talent show last year received amazing feedback. Slots for performances are still available, and you can audition to perform by submitting a video of your act to director@emporiagranada.com. Tickets for the event are $15.
The Andy Gross Comedy Show will come to the Granada on August 28. Gross is one of the most popular entertainers of today with countless sold-out shows and a devoted following. His videos have over 100 million views and counting on the internet.
The Granada Theatre is scheduled to host two evenings of music in September. Ryan Daniel will be in concert on the 3rd, and Blane Howard will be coming to town on the 25th. Both performances have people excited to have a wonderful time out listening to country and rock numbers.
Herrera says that the October schedule for the Granada includes some very unique acts.
Jack Mouse and Jane Borla with special guest Blue Lou Marini will perform on October 9.
Over a year and a half in the making, Herrera says she is excited to have Eli Young Band perform on October 16.
Looking ahead to November, over-the-top costumes and high-energy performances just like the real Elton are expected when Elton Dan & The Rocket Band will be at the Granada on November 6.
