An Emporia man faces several charges of sexual misconduct after review by the Lyon County Attorney’s Office.
County Attorney Marc Goodman has charged 23-year-old Wyatt Samuel Bennett with four counts of aggravated indecent liberties, two of indecent liberties and two of criminal sodomy. The affidavit is sealed, but the legal complaint released by Lyon County District Court to KVOE News indicates Bennett had sex with a 15-year-old teenager and illegally touched the teen between November 2019 and November 2020.
Following his first appearance in Lyon County District Court on Wednesday, Bennett was for a preliminary hearing at 9:30 am Sept. 1.
