The Emporia Lions Club is sponsoring a mobile health screening unit Saturday and Sunday.
The mobile unit will be at the Lyon County Fairgrounds at the Anderson building from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm Saturday and Sunday.
Club member and Spokesperson Gary Post explained what the mobile unit is, and what services people can expect from it.
Post also says that helping the visually impaired has been a major role for the club since Helen Keller suggested the club be “Knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness” almost 100 years ago.
The lions club offers programs and grants to help the 1 billion people affected by visual impairment.
