Lyon County commissioners moved forward with a pair of related improvement projects as part of their action meeting Thursday.
Commissioners approved a bid to replace a water storage tank at the county jail. Evergreen Design-Build won that contract with a total bid of just over $200,000. Commissioners also approved a $365,000 bid from Mitchell-Markowitz to replace a generator at the jail.
Commissioners tabled two potential action points Thursday. They moved a decision on a final signature for a Community Development Block Grant bolstering A1 Pump and Jet’s upcoming move to Aug. 12, thus allowing Commission Chair Rollie Martin — who missed Thursday’s meeting — to be on hand to sign the documentation, while moving a decision on a potential road closure at Roads 30 and C from Aug. 12 to Aug. 19.
