Project Playscape finished its slate of fundraising events last weekend.
The three-day event started with a swim night full of several different games at the Jones Aquatic Center.
Saturday hosted a dodgeball tournament, car show, kids carnival, and several other events including a summer bash at Harry and Llyods.
Sunday finished the weekend with a pancake/biscuits and gravy fundraiser.
Lead Organizer Britney Hinrichs says the community support for the project has been amazing.
Project Playscape raised more than $9,000 from the weekend bringing the total funds raised to just over $424,000. This puts the project just $56,000 away from its new goal of $480,000.
The project has had to adjust to a larger budget due to COVID-related costs and is still accepting donations.
Project Playscape is still slated to be finished by October.
