The Kansas Department of Health and Environment says people unvaccinated against COVID-19 that are planning to attend Saturday night’s Garth Brooks concert at Arrowhead Stadium should quarantine themselves after the show.
Better than 74,000 tickets were sold for the show in short order. Residents will already have to follow mask requirements in certain areas of the stadium, including the CommunityAmerica Club Level, Ford Founder’s Club, Foolish Lounge, Broadcast Lounge, Signature Suite Lounge, Locker Room Club and Chiefs Pro Shop. Also, KDHE says the concert easily fits in its quarantine category of “any out-of-state mass gatherings of 500 or more where individuals do not socially distance and wear masks.”
Current guidelines mean Kansas residents who aren’t fully vaccinated have to quarantine for seven days if they have a negative test result — or 10 days if they don’t take a test. Residents who are fully vaccinated and asymptomatic don’t have to quarantine.
Masks will be available for guests who don’t bring their own face coverings.
