The Cardinals scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st.
The Royals tied the game with 2 runs in the top of the 4th. Michael A. Taylor and Hanser Alberto each drove in a run.
St. Louis broke the tie with a run in the bottom of the 4th and added single runs in the 5th and 6th innings. The Cardinals scored all 5 runs off of Royals starter Brad Keller.
