Next week, Emporia’s annual Street Rehab project will change focus.
So far, the project has handled curb and gutter needs as well as handicapped-accessible sidewalk ramps. Beginning Monday, affected streets will get milled before an overlay effort to close down the annual project.
Work zones include:
*Ninth from Elm to Lawrence
*12th from Commercial to Whittier
*Belmont Court
*Congress at the railroad underpass
*Elm from Sixth to Grove
*Mechanic from South to Second
*Mount Vernon Terrace at 21st
*Old Manor Road
*Randolph from Neosho to West
*Soden Road
*South Exchange
*Trowman Way
This comes as Elm is getting waterline work from Sixth to Fifth, including lane shifts affecting both directions on West Sixth.
