Granada’s Got Talent is the latest local event to come off the community calendar due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Granada Theatre announced via its official Facebook page Thursday morning that the second installment of its local talent show has been postponed. The post states, “Due to concerns over the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) and in consideration of the health and safety of participants and staff members, we have decided to postpone Granada’s Got Talent scheduled for Saturday.”
A new date for the event has yet to be announced, however, the Granada plans to announce more information “in the weeks to come.” Granada Theatre Director Rebeca Hererra says they will not be canceling or postponing any other events on the schedule at this time.
The Granada is requiring mask use for patrons who are unvaccinated while “strongly recommending” masks for those who are fully vaccinated. Social distancing when possible is encouraged and staff are continuing frequent sanitation of all surfaces to help lower the spread of COVID-19.
