Lyon County Commissioners had a brief action meeting Thursday morning.
During that time, commissioners considered a request from Lyon County Emergency Communications Center Director Roxanne Van Gundy to change a motion approving payment to TFM Comm Inc. from $6,275 to $6,476. Van Gundy also requested commissioners approve the payment of $4,569.86 to Schumann Electric for the center’s dispatch remodel.
Both requests were approved unanimously.
County Engineer Chip Woods requested the commission’s approval for himself, Assistant County Engineer Jim Brull and Seth Snyder to attend the MINK 2021 Conference in St. Joseph, MO, Sept. 21-23 and to pay the related expenses from the Road and Bridge fund. The county will only be responsible for travel expenses as the Kansas County Highway Association (KCHA) will cover the registration cost for the conference.
Commissioners also unanimously approved this request.
Commissioners were originally scheduled to render a decision on a Community Development Block Grant for A1 Pump and Jet, however, at the request of Grant Administrator Garret Nordstrom the item was removed from the agenda. Commissioners may revisit the item later this month.
The Lyon County Commission will reconvene for its weekly action session next Thursday at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse.
