The pace of increase in Lyon County’s coronavirus caseload slowed considerably over the weekend.
Lyon County Public Health announced 18 new cases between Friday and Monday, pushing the overall count to 4,583 since late March 2020.
Active cases dipped from 151 to 143. Active hospitalizations declined from four to three. Deaths remained steady at 87.
Still, Lyon County has now added 185 new coronavirus cases this month, more than the last three months combined. Active cases reached their current peak Friday. Those are still over 10 times where they were in mid-June, when the total was 14.
