Emporia will be hosting more than 100 military officers from around the world Tuesday afternoon.
The 115 foreign officers will be making their way through town as part of their curriculum through the US Army’s Command and General Staff College based out of Fort Leavenworth. The day’s itinerary will include a stop at the Emporia All Veterans Memorial before a luncheon at American Legion Post 5.
The Command and General Staff College is a ten-month program that provides instruction to foreign officers on a variety of subjects including US military tactics, history, culture and much more.
The day’s list of activities will begin at 11 am with lunch at Post 5 scheduled for 11:45 am.
