Several Lyon County roads have reopened after flooding rainfall last week, but others remain closed.
The Lyon County Highway Department has removed barricades from:
*Road 140 from Kansas Highway 99 west to Road H
*Road H from 140 to 145
*Road J from 130 to 160
Several roads remain closed, but could reopen by Tuesday:
*Road 145 from G to H
*Road 150 from N to S
*Road 200 from L to L-5
*Road K from 130 to 150
*Road R from 150 to 160
*Road P from 140 to 160
Meanwhile, Road 150 has been reopened between Roads E and F. The road was closed briefly after a tree fell and blocked it.
Separately, the Highway Department continues a chip seal project west of Hartford this week. Monday’s work zone involves Road 130 between R and T, as well as T between 120 and 130. A pilot car is in place to get drivers through the work zone.
Overall, the chip seal is repaving Road 130, also known as Gun Club Road, from Kansas Highway 99 east to Hartford.
