With Evergy having planned power outages east of Emporia on Wednesday, 4 Rivers Electric Cooperative is having outages of its own.
4 Rivers has announced outages for its Agricola, Lebo and Melvern coverage areas beginning at 8 am. Power could be restored within six to eight hours.
Evergy had already announced four separate outage areas as part of the same project — Neosho Rapids to Hartford, BETO Junction, Waverly and rural areas southwest of Melvern.
Both sets of projects are related to high-voltage transmission line work.
