The Emporia High boys soccer team is 10 days away from their first match and they are 2 days into practices. Coach Victor Ibarra is working with 38 players this season.
The Spartans do return several key players including senior Alexys Ramirez.
Senior Kevin Rios was a team captain last year.
Also returning are seniors Kaden Nguyen, Aidan Allemang, and Alex Lemus.
The Spartans open their season on August 27th at St. Marys Academy.
