Less than two weeks after he was arrested on suspicion of drug distribution, and shortly after noting his 42nd birthday, an Osage City man was arrested on suspicion of drug possession and trafficking contraband.
Michael McGuire was first arrested Aug. 8, along with 36-year-old Lisa Mueller of Admire, on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine with intent to deliver and other drug-related counts after an alleged traffic infraction. On Tuesday, McGuire was arrested at Eighth and Market in Osage City after another alleged traffic violation. Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says narcotics were allegedly found inside the vehicle during the traffic stop.
McGuire was arrested on suspicion of possession of meth, marijuana and paraphernalia. He was also arrested on suspicion of trafficking contraband in a correctional institution, although further details about the contraband aspect of this case are currently pending.
Formal charges are pending.
