Monday’s vaccination event during the Emporia Main Street Welcome Back Block Party is now a vaccination-and-testing event.
Lyon County Public Health and the Greater Emporia Area Disaster Relief Fund’s #VaxToNormal campaign will handle the vaccination half of the event, while the Kansas Department of Health and Environment will take care of the testing. Vaccinations will take place inside the Main Street office, while testing will be inside the Emporia Granada Theatre.
The block party is designed to let Emporia State University and Flint Hills Technical College students learn more about downtown businesses and organizations. The event goes from 5:30-7:30 pm Monday on Commercial from Eighth to 12th.
