A Topeka woman was taken to Newman Regional Health for observation and possible treatment after a crash on the Kansas Turnpike northeast of Emporia on Friday night.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says weather played a role in the crash involving 21-year-old Shelby Ann Shuler. Troopers say Shuler was northbound near the Admire tollgate when her car hydroplaned, hit the center barrier wall and then went into a ditch.
Shuler had suspected minor injuries. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
