With the success of the Humane Society of the Flint Hills’ recent buy one get one free kitten adoption sale, Director Stephanie Achille is very excited for a new event coming up next weekend.
Achille recently joined KVOE’s Morning Show and reported that the BOGO special has helped cat and kitten adoptions over the past month with 30 total adoptions, half of which were through the BOGO offer. The special has gone so well the Humane Society will be extending it through the end of the month according to Achille.
The extension comes at a perfect time and will be included in the Humane Society’s new pet adoption event at the Red Rocks state historic site next Saturday. Achille ran through what else visitors to Red Rocks can expect next weekend.
The Humane Society will be joined at Red Rocks by the Buffy Animal Welfare Group, a 501 (c)(3) organization based in Emporia that provides medical and foster care for abused, neglected and homeless animals.
The event is scheduled to take place on the Red Rocks front lawn from 10 am to noon. For more information find the Humane Society of the Flint Hills on Facebook or call 620-342-4477.
