After a week of steady declines, Lyon County saw a modest increase in active COVID-19 cases Monday.
Public Health reported 31 new cases developed over the past weekend bringing the county’s overall total to 4,675 cases since late last March. 27 new recoveries were reported increasing the active case total from 123 to 127.
82 of the active cases have been identified as breakthrough cases meaning infections in fully vaccinated individuals. 41 were vaccinated with the Moderna vaccine, 23 with Johnson & Johnson and 18 with Pfizer.
Deaths were steady with 88 and active hospitalizations increased from three to four.
