Newman Therapy Services is on the move.
The official relocation from 1024 West 12th to Newman Regional Health’s southeast corner — the previous site of the hospital’s emergency room — happened Monday. The relocation and renovation of the former emergency room was funded by the 2020 Denim and Diamonds campaign, bond funds and a specific grant to the pediatric therapy gym from the Emporia Community Foundation’s 79 Fund.
Patients will use Entrance G, the old emergency room entrance, to access Newman Therapy Services. Operated by Mathis Rehab Centers, Newman Therapy Services offers outpatient physical, speech, occupational and specialty therapy services for adults and children alike.
