A Wichita man suffered potentially serious injuries after a wreck on the Kansas Turnpike in Osage County over the weekend.
Troopers with the Kansas Highway Patrol say 66-year-old Robert Lawyer was northbound when he crashes about 40 miles northeast of Emporia shortly before 11:20 am. Lawyer’s SUV apparently went off the highway, hit a ditch and went airborne. Troopers say the SUV’s back end went over its front end before landing on the roof.
Lawyer went to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka for treatment. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
