The Emporia High gymnastics team is 12 days away from their first competition.
Coach Angela Podrebarac is working with 10 gymnasts.
The team includes two returning state qualifiers. Senior Cadance Vincent qualified for the vault and balance beam. She says the Olympics offered some inspiration.
Junior Journey Walburn qualified for the floor exercise.
The gymnasts open their season on September 7th at Newton.
