There’s quite the buzz about Strong City’s 150th anniversary celebration taking place this weekend, according to Mayor Lydia Simmons.
Undercover 3.0: The Ultimate ’80s Experience is providing live music from 8-11 pm Friday at City Hall. Residents can also enjoy birthday cookies and food and drink vendors. Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs but leave any personal coolers at home.
On Saturday, the now-annual Parkapalooza takes place from 4-7 pm at Strong City Park, including a mini-carnival, water slides, a bounce house and other inflatables, dunk tank and petting zoo. Brown bag meals including hot dogs or burgers are $5, with all proceeds helping Strong City build a splash pad just east of the park’s playground.
