Lyon County’s first COVID-19 report of the week included a continued increase in both active and overall cases.
Public Health reported 29 new coronavirus cases Monday morning bringing the county’s overall caseload to 4,781 since late last March. With 14 recoveries, the county’s active case total increased from 152 to 167.
107 cases have been identified as breakthrough cases meaning infections in fully vaccinated individuals. 55 of those individuals were vaccinated with the Moderna vaccine, 29 with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and 23 with the Pfizer vaccine.
Deaths were unchanged at 88 with four active hospitalizations.
