The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has three days of COVID-19 vaccinations and testing available for Kansas Turnpike travelers this week.
From Wednesday to Friday, KDHE staffers will be at the KTA’s Matfield Green service exit 30 miles southwest of the Emporia tollgate for vaccinations and testing. Hours will be 10 am to 6 pm all three days with Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines on hand for people wanting vaccinations.
KDHE has offered vaccinations and testing at different Turnpike locations, including the Matfield Green service exit, earlier this month as a way to make both activities more accessible and offer additional health protections for everybody as the delta variant continues to spread.
