An Emporia man accused of sexual misconduct with a teenager will return to court later this month.
23-year-old Wyatt Bennett waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday morning and will now move to an arraignment hearing on Tuesday, Sept. 21 in front of Judge Merlin Wheeler at 2 pm.
Bennett is charged with four counts of aggravated indecent liberties, two of indecent liberties and two of criminal sodomy.
The legal complaint released by Lyon County District Court to KVOE News indicates Bennett had sex with a 15-year-old teenager and illegally touched the teen between November 2019 and November 2020. The affidavit, or event narrative, is sealed.
