The Cleveland Indians rallied to outscore the Kansas City Royals 5-3 in 11 innings Wednesday night.
The Royals scored a run in the 1st inning, Whit Merrifield scoring on a Michael A. Taylor sacrifice fly. Adalberto Mondesi, who returned to the line-up last night, scored on a throwing error in the 2nd and hit a home run in the 4th inning to build a 3-0 lead. Cleveland scored 2 runs in the 5th and a run in the 7th inning to tie the game and scored 2 runs in the top of the 11 for the win.
The Royals and Cleveland wrap up a 3 game series Thursday night. Mike Minor will be the starting pitcher for the Royals. The first pitch is set for 7:10 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
