Rainfall is in the offing through the start of the upcoming holiday weekend, and stronger storms can’t be ruled out.
The Storm Prediction Center has a marginal risk for early Friday, notably for wind although an isolated tornado can’t officially be eliminated from the forecast. There is another marginal risk possibility areawide Friday afternoon and evening, with all hazards possible but unlikely.
Heavy rainfall is also possible with as much as two inches of rainfall possible from early Friday through Saturday morning. Isolated flooding is a possibility.
The current forecast has dry and pleasant conditions to close out the Labor Day weekend, with highs in the low 80s Sunday and highs in the upper 80s for the holiday.
